This article examines the mean trait-like communication apprehension scores for doctors of chiropractic and chiropractic assistants and the normative means for the general population. Results indicated that doctors of chiropractic are substantially lower on trait-like communication apprehension than the general population, while chiropractic assistants are very close to the national norms.  Doctors of chiropractic who reported low communication apprehension had more years of experience in the profession.  The doctors' of chiropractic and chiropractic assistants' state apprehension with patients was also examined.  Results indicated that both doctors of chiropractic and chiropractic assistants generally do not experience much state apprehension in this context.
